Help:Adding missing images

From Agentpedia, the Microsoft Agent encyclopedia

To fix a missing image on the wiki, feel free to use Special:Upload to upload the image or click on the red-link directly which will take you to the upload page as well with the appropriate filename.

Multiple images

If you would like to upload multiple missing images (or upload multiple images in general), you may upload them with Special:BatchUpload, which allows verified users to upload five images at a time instead of just one.

Formats

It is recommended that images uploaded to the wiki be in the .PNG, .JPG/.JPEG, or .GIF formats. WEBPs may cause issues with older browser and it is instead recommended you open the .WEBP in a program like Paint.NET and then save it as a .PNG file. In regards to 256-color bitmaps, MediaWiki unfortunately does not support these at this time, so you will need to convert any of these 256-color .BMPs to another format as well before uploading them, either with Microsoft Paint or another editing software.

As for .SVG files, these are technically supported but are not recommended for screenshots or program icons. It is recommended you only use these if absolutely necessary (like as a template icon for example).

Adding to a page

If the missing image is not on the page yet, you may add it with the following syntax:

[[File:Name|Type|Border|Location|Alignment|Size|link=Link|alt=Alt|class=Class|page=Page|lang=Langtag|Caption]].

Please note that all of these fields do not have to be used, and you are fine with just putting the file name and the caption, such as in this example which displays Merlin's rest pose image with a caption:

[[File:Merlin0000.png|thumb|Merlin's restpose frame.]]
