Hello, it's pretty self-explanatory for who I am! I am Konnor88 , a Microsoft Agent content creator, former mapper, and the owner of this MS Agent wiki and also the owner of TMAFE (the website you are on you right now!). If you have any questions, leave a question on my talk page. (I am usually more likely to respond here than on Discord or YouTube sometimes :D)

Notable stuff I developed

  • Frontier Web Browser (2018) - A TMAFE-themed web browser that first started off using the Trident engine before transfering to the Gecko engine. Frontier Web Browser was discontinued in 2022. This was also my first notable project.
  • Anti-Grabify (2019) - Open source browser extension that blocks Grabify and other IP-stealing links.
  • Microsoft Agent 1.5 Tester (2021) - Basic program that tests a Microsoft Agent 1.5 character.
  • TenStartMenuFixer (2021) - Restores the Windows 10 start menu in earlier Windows 11 builds. This one actually received some media coverage!
  • BlobBUDDY (2023) - A malware-free BonziBUDDY alternative that re-introduced MS Agent programming to many!
  • MaxALERT Rewritten (2023) - A re-imagination of the original lost MaxALERT program by Bonzi Software that is also open source.
  • Microsoft Actor Properties Viewer + Decompiler (2025) - Program that decompiles Microsoft Actors and allows you to view their properties.
  • Microsoft Agent 1.5 Decompiler (2025) - Open source decompiler that decompiles uncompressed Agent 1.5 characters.
  • Discord WEBP to PNG (2025) - Open source browser extension that automatically converts WEBP images in Discord to PNG.
  • XP Search Assistant Rewritten (2025) - The XP Search Companion program but ported for modern versions of Windows. This program requires Windows Vista or later.
  • Frontier Actor (2025) - My first API! It basically allows anyone to develop Microsoft Actor programs for modern Windows by re-implementing the original 16-bit Microsoft Actor Control (what was used to make Microsoft Actor programs) for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. I hope to have a DLL file ready for developers to use this in applications ready soon, but in the meantime an early version of it is being used in XP Search Assistant Rewritten.
  • Actor Toolkit (2025) - Version 2.0 of MAPVD (which has been renamed/rebranded)! This program contains the same features as the properties viewer/decompiler but can now load actors and their animations as well as generate tables for Agentpedia and even the capability to load Actors to be displayed outside their window like Microsoft Agents.

Cool things about me!

  • I own and run the website you are on right now!
  • My first exposure to Microsoft Agent was the HP Tour Guide on a hand-me-down Windows ME desktop.
  • My first computer ran Windows ME before we had to upgrade it to Windows XP.
  • My V2 agent influenced a lot of Microsoft Agent content creators to use mouths on their agents.
  • My favorite games of all time: Plants vs. Zombies, Insaniquarium, Minecraft, Terraria
  • I develop using Visual Studio 2008 on a Windows XP virtual machine and with Visual Studio 2017 on my main computer.
  • I use both VMware and Virtualbox for virtual machines (both have their pros and cons!)
  • I uploaded my first Microsoft Agent video on September 1st, 2016.
  • I am the first person (excluding Microsoft) to reverse the Microsoft Actor format and successfully load an Actor in a program that isn't Microsoft Bob or Office 97/98/2001.
  • As you can see by the short version of my character list, I have made over 100+ characters over the years (even though nearly all the 2016-2020 ones are low quality)
  • I like classical Microsoft Agents and use them frequently in my Desktop Skits series.
  • My favorite operating system of all time is Windows 7.
