Hoverbot is a Microsoft Actor character released by Microsoft Corporation. He was used in Office 97. His appearance is an egg shaped robot with a ring around it, and a red line with a circle in it which seems to take on the appearance of an eye.

Hoverbot was one of the selectable Office Assistants in Office 97. He would appear when ever the program decided the user could be assisted. For example, typing an address followed by "Dear" would cause the Assistant to appear with the message, "It looks like you're writing a letter. Would you like help?"
