The Genius is a Microsoft Agent and Microsoft Actor character developed by the Microsoft Corporation. He was released as an actor apart of Office 97, and as a Microsoft Agent in Office 2000. His appearance is an old short man with white hair and shoes, a brown jacket, and blue jeans.

The Genius was introduced in Microsoft Office 97 as one of the selectable Office Assistants. He appeared when ever the program determined the user could be assisted. For example, typing an address followed by "Dear" would cause the Assistant to appear with the message, "It looks like you're writing a letter. Would you like help?"
