Kairu, also known as Dolphin, is a Microsoft Agent and Microsoft Actor developed by Microsoft Corporation. He was released as an actor apart of Office 97, and as a Microsoft Agent in Office 2000, XP, and 2003. His appearance is a blue dolphin with a white belly.

Kairu was introduced in Microsoft Office 97 as an Office Assistant exclusive to Japan. This is why most people do not know about him. He appeared when ever the program determined the user could be assisted. For example, typing an address followed by "Dear" would cause the Assistant to appear with the message, "It looks like you're writing a letter. Would you like help?"

- Kairu was one of the two assistants that were exclusive to Japan.
- The other character exclusive to Japan was Saeko-Sensei.
- They were also the 2 exclusive characters from Actor that were remade in Microsoft Agent.
- Kairu was one of the 4 Microsoft Actor characters that were exclusive to a specific version of Office.
- The other 2 non-country exclusive characters are Max, and Bosgrove (which both are MacOS exclusive).
- On the Actor version of Kairu, he also had white skin on his mouth and around his eye.
- Like Clippit and Office Logo, Kairu received a design change with the release of Microsoft Office 2000.
